About the Discount Calculator
Enter an original price and a discount percentage to see the final sale price and exactly how much you save. Useful for working out sale deals, coupon values, and bulk pricing before you buy.
How discount is calculated
Saving = Original price × (Discount % ÷ 100). Sale price = Original price − Saving. For example, a 25% discount on £120.00 saves £30.00, giving a sale price of £90.00.
The calculator works in any currency — just enter the number without a currency symbol. Results are rounded to two decimal places as you would see on a price tag.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate the sale price after a discount?
Sale price = Original price × (1 − Discount % ÷ 100). For a 25% discount on £120: £120 × 0.75 = £90. The saving is £120 − £90 = £30.
Can I use this for multiple discounts stacked together?
The calculator applies a single discount. For stacked discounts, calculate the first discount to get an intermediate price, then apply the second discount to that result. Two 10% discounts is not the same as one 20% discount.
